Hey Ho there Interwebs!

How've you been? Good yes? (No? is anybody out there?)

I have been great. After more than a year of chaos, my life is calming, and I am blissfully happy.
To summarise, a list of things that have happened over the last year and a bit:
relationship breakdown
quit job
moved out
puppy stolen in messy relationship breadown
learned to live on own in shitty little student apartment
met lovely new person
10 months of up and down with new person.
finally with new person
new pup
new apartment
new job
new friends!
new life.

I am unrecognisable from the person I was two years ago (I think), and I feel so much better for it :)

Here, have some pictures for evidence!

Well hey there internet!

Holy shit it's been a while. So much has happened I don't even know where to start. So I won't!
I'll just say howdy doody, and I'm glad to be back. I have blog plans, hopefully they'll start happening soon, but for now, I'm just going to post some pictures of my new puppy, Penelope June. She's pretty amazing, a bit of a life saver, and a wonderful end to a terrible year.

Puebla

From Mexico City we travelled by local bus to Puebla.
One of our favourite places we visited, Puebla was so colourful, and the people so lovely. I would love to go back there one day.

I'm kicking myself at the moment for not doing these posts earlier, because I can't remember alot of things. I can't even remember exactly how we got to Puebla, or where we went after that! I need to start writing travel journals while I'm away.

Just a church on top of a pyramid!

Amazing Mayan church, that's all tile.

I love this one. Chelle asked him what was inside the cardboard box strapped to his bicycle, and he pulled out these chickens!

And that's Puebla. Next up, Oaxaca... I think!

P.s. I'm only learning photoshop, so these may not be edited very well.

We went on holiday!

Whoa it's been a while! Life got in the way.
But I'm ready to show our holiday pictures... 10 months later! Better late than never hey?

Our holiday started with a week in the Bonney Lake area of Seattle, WA, spending time with Chelle's wonderful family. We got our first ever pedicures with Chelle's cousin, took her boys to the cinema, and hung out a whole lot. Because we were mostly just hanging out that first week we don't really have any pictures.

After that we flew off to Mexico. After a pretty crazy flight there, during which we got stuck in Phoenix, missed our connecting flight, and had to wait on stand-by for the next available flight, leaving our friend alone in Mexico City for about 6 hours with no communication, we finally got there.

Not too many photos, but I love the ones we have, which were all taken by Chelle, and edited (probably not very well!) by me...

Diego Rivera Mural

The detail on the buildings in Mexico is just amazing.

Our first day there and we happened upon a huge protest gainst their newly elected president. Police everywhere.

This made me realise that I really have no excuses.

 Contrast of culture.

We spent Chelle's 21st birthday having breakfast at the Hilton, where we tried barbecued cactus and helped the waiter practice his English.

Next up, Puebla!

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day! I hope all the mums out there have a lovely day.
This year Mothers day seems to be a little bitter-sweet for me. I live in a different state to my mum and so will not be seeing her tomorrow. For the last couple of years that I've been living in Melbourne it hasn't bothered me too much that I haven't seen my mum on mother's day, as I have visited alot throughout the year. However, this year I have a full time job, which means no more spontaneous, or lengthy trips to Adelaide! I haven't been home since my niece was born in February, and I realise that's only three months but I really love my family, so it has been very hard for me. My mum is pretty amazing, and I am so lucky to have her. And I hope she has a great day!

My beautiful mum on her wedding day.

I will be celebrating Mothers day with my furbaby, celebrating his birthday (which was yesterday), with a bunch of his Boston Terrier buddies!!!!

Hi there blog world!
Life lately has been both crazy and uneventful. Stress over the trip we are planning has rendered me incapable of thinking about anything else! Also, working 7-3 every day does not leave much time for anything else, except walking the dog and cooking dinner!

However, I did just get instagram and have been having a lot of fun taking pictures of mostly the dog being cute! Here's a sample, plus some other pictures I've taken. Please note though, my partner is the photograper, and my pictures are not quite up to scratch!

That's Hugo with his Grandma when she came to visit! He adores her.

I know it looks like I'm obsessed, but he's just so darn cute how can I not be?!

The weather has been a little moody lately so I've been enjoying taking pictures of the fallen leaves:

And waking up to morning fog outside my kitchen window:

I hope to get some time soon to complete a couple of projects I've been meaning to and upload them!
Bye for now.

Warning NSFW!

Yesterday the girlie, the pup and I went and watched a nudey rudey bike ride!
Highlighting a list of issues such as the dangers that cyclists face on the road, alternative forms of transport - especially low or no carbon transport, as well as positive body image and many other things, the ride was a sure fire way to get noticed! It was a bit of fun, a bit of shock factor, and a whole lot of cheeky and made me love this crazy city even more!
